Thought While Puking

Random thoughts while puking:

- That was a clutch win on Friday night against the Yankees. And Saturday didn't matter - hey, it's not like we were gonna sweep. The Yankees only needed 1 of 3 to lock up the division. We lost the division when Arroyo and Clement lost those two consecutive games to the Js. What are Arroyo and Clement gonna do in the playoffs? For the love of GOD.
- I'm still in denial that the Yankees won the division after all that. And now this April 1st quote from Lady Birk can be revealed: "I don't care what happens as long as the Yankees don't win the division." Amen.
- What happened to them Injuns? It's a little scary, because I have a funny feeling it had nothing to do with them being young or whatever. It took me a while, but I'm starting to see the light: the ChW are really really good!
- I keep hearing the ChW aren't getting any respect. But you know who's really getting no respect? That's right - the pinstripers from the Evil Empire. Look at that line-up, plus RJ, 3 or 4 pitching overachievers plus Mariano and Flash, and tell me how they're not gonna win.
- Kevin Millar is not playing the game at the major league level. He's a glorified Triple A guy. But he keeps getting starts. And is he really better at 1B than Ortiz?
- High comedy on the radio call-in shows in NYC: the fans are blaming BUCK SHOWALTER for giving the LAA home field advantage against the NYY. Caller after caller was flipping out. HELLO!! If you wanted home field advantage, you should have won your OWN game on Sunday! You would have even had a head start if you pitched Mussina.
- Bradford, Papelbon, Myers, and some of those other guys have actually been pretty decent down the stretch. I don't freak out (too much) when any of those 3 guys come in. And here's hoping Timlin stays lights out through the post-season.
- The Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. How cool is THAT??

Note to Andy & Ty: If you don't feed him, he'll eventually go away.
